The Palette
"White is not the absence of color. It is the presence of intention."
The design direction for this Irving home was built around contrast — the cool luminosity of ivory and teal set against the warmth of dark iron balusters, polished marble, and natural oak. Iridescent glass baubles, glitter-dusted pear drops, and white antler picks established the palette from the first ornament placed.
The Tree
A couture tree for a two-story home.
The staircase tree was the installation's signature piece — a full, lush design reaching toward the second floor with wide ivory burlap ribbon, cascading gold mesh, clusters of teal ball ornaments, white shell picks, and a dramatic feather-and-branch crown topper. The dark iron balusters and fresh pine garland framed it from every angle of the open floor plan.
The Garland
"The garland is where the home becomes the holiday."
Oversized white glitter ball clusters, hand-tied gold burlap bows, natural pine cones, and magnolia leaves — the staircase garland was designed to read beautifully from the entry, the loft, and the dining room simultaneously. Each cluster was hand-formed, each bow hand-tied, each pine cone placed with intention.
The Spaces
Every room, considered.
Gold deer figurines arranged on the polished marble landing. A gold coral bowl filled with teal and white ornaments centered on the dining table. Fresh magnolia leaves cascading along the rustic wood mantel against a full-height marble wall. The loft garland with white rocks, pine cones, and holly berries. Each space received its own moment — nothing was an afterthought, nothing was repeated.
The Result
A home that felt like winter had arrived — and decided to stay.
